On Wednesday, Sept. 9th 1998 at the general audience in St. Peter's Square, the Pope spoke on the theme of "The Spirit of God and the 'Seeds of Truth' in non-Christian Religions."
"The 'seeds of truth'," said John Paul II, are "'the effect of the Spirit of truth operating outside the visible confines of the Mystical Body'," Pope Paul explained that "in all authentic religious experiences, the most characteristic manifestation is prayer. ... Every true prayer is inspired by the Holy Spirit, Who is mysteriously present in the heart of every person."
"Through the practice of what is good in their own religious traditions, and following the dictates of their consciences, members of other religions positively respond to God's invitation and receive salvation in Jesus Christ, even though they may not recognize Him as their Savior."
"The attitude of the Church and of individual Christians with regard to other religions is characterized by sincere respect, deep kindness, and also, where it is possible and appropriate, cordial collaboration" (Vatican Information Service 9/9/98)
This should prove once and for all to the Roman Protestants (i.e. ecumenical Protestants) that the Roman Catholic Church is a false and apostate religion, teaching that you do not even have to repent and follow Christ, or even recognize Christ as your Saviour to have salvation! This should also prove once and for all to the Catholics that claim to be saved that their religion is false and of the devil.
In contrast with what the Pope says, God the Son says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" (Jn. 14:6). Now if you are a Catholic you must choose whether you will believe the Lord Jesus Christ's words or the words of the Pope, the Anti-Christ (See Vicar of Christ).
Also, since when has the Holy Spirit been "mysteriously present in the heart of every person," as the Pope teaches? According to the Lord Jesus Christ only believers can have the Holy Spirit present with them, and the world CANNOT receive Him (Jn. 14:17). Once again you must choose to believe the words of man of the words of God, it is your choice. Your eternal future is at hand. Choose God and righteousness instead of the Pope and unrighteousness.
