CHRIST-MASS, CHRISTMAS, OR X-MAS

Christ-mass is the most popular of the pagan holidays/holy days celebrated by the wicked. It has been shortened to Christmas, and many have no idea that it means "Christ Mass," from the godless Roman Catholic Church's devilish masses.

CHRIST-MASS TREES

Many view the Christ-mass tree as a harmless decoration. They do not see it as an abomination before the Lord. The Bible long ago rebuked the practice of setting up what we now call Christ-mass trees with all the decorations and the like.

Jeremiah 10:1-5
1   Hear ye the word which the LORD speaketh unto you, O house of Israel:
2   Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.
3   For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.
4   They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.
5   They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.

Can the Scriptures be any more plain on the subject? I think not! The truth is that setting up a Christ-mass tree is just an old heathen tradition that God commanded His people NOT to learn. Sadly, most today are teaching new Christians to do this very thing that God abhors and commands against.

Many will argue that this is not talking about Christ-mass trees, but idols. The truth is that the Christ-mass tree is an idol that the heathen set up. It is just as much an idol as if you set up a Hindu god statue. Do not try to play games and act as if it represents God's people, the church, the resurrection, or any other thing that man tries to pretend it represents to soothe their consciences. God says, "Learn not the way of the heathen," and if you are His child then you will be pleased to obey Him. Stop following the world in its sins and idols and start following the Lord of Hosts.
