REBUKING THE SODOMITE'S ARGUMENTS

This is a straight forward and simple rebuke to some of the major arguments made by sodomites and those who are sodomites at heart. You will see how they take all manner of illogic to try to make it appear their sin is acceptable to God. This is no different than those who are divorced and remarried adulterers and adulteresses who do the exact same thing trying to cover their sins. Here is what the Bible says about those that try to cover their sins like these sodomites, "He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy" (Proverbs 28:13). It is my hope that somewhere, somehow, someone will confess and forsake their sins after reading this and come to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

In Genesis 19:5 it says, "bring them out unto us, that we may know them" The "know" here simply means "know!" There is no hint at homosexuality in the original Hebrew.

If one were to take only a portion of a verse and not read it in context, then they might could make an ignorant argument like this. Yet, when one reads on down to Genesis 19:8, we see how obvious it is that "know" was talking about relations, not just getting to know them! Lot told the sodomites, "Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof." He offered them his two daughters instead of the men, but the sodomites did not want to know the women, they wanted men. Many  times in the Bible "know" and "knew" is used as a classy way to describe sexual relations (see Genesis 4:1, 25; 38:26; etc.). Too bad if it is not filthy and descriptive enough for you.

Leviticus 18:22:
“Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.”

Leviticus 20:13:
“If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.”

These verses do not refer to homosexuals or even hint at homosexuality, rather to heterosexuals who took part in the baal fertility rituals in order to guarantee good crops and healthy flocks.

Please read the context. Nothing is mentioned about "baal fertility rituals in order to guarantee good crops and healthy flocks." This is simply a desperate attempt by a sodomite to cover their sin. As for Leviticus 19:22 and 20:13 not even hinting at "homosexuality" this is absurd. The acts described are that of those who like to call themselves "homosexual." It is sodomy, the trait of the sodomites. Normal people without devils possessing them do not lie with mankind as they would with a woman.

The use of Leviticus 18:22 and Leviticus 20:13 to condemn homosexuals is hypocritical since they do not require people to obey get complete rest on the Sabbath day Leviticus 23). They don't forbid a husband from having sex with his wife during her menstrual period (Leviticus 18:19). They don't forbid mixed breeding of various kinds of cattle, sowing various kinds of seeds in your field, nor do they say “neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee” (Leviticus 19:19). And they don't demand that “Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard.” (Leviticus 19:27).

Well, I would agree with them on this point. It is hypocritical. The New Testament Law is in effect now, so to only base your argument on laws that are done away with is hypocritical. The true believer does not do that. We surely reference such points as those in Leviticus 18:22 and 20:13 in showing that God has been unwavering in His condemnation of the sodomites. You can take those Old Covenant laws and show that they are still in force by comparing them with the New Testament Law under the New Testament (covenant). All the laws you mentioned have been abolished, except for the law against sodomy. This is because it has been incorporated into the New Testament.

Romans 1:18-32
18   For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19   Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20   For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21   Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22   Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23   And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24   Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25   Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26   For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27   And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
28   And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29   Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30   Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31   Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32   Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

So this is plain, that even under the New Testament's law, such people are, in the judgment of God, worthy of death. God has given them up unto vile affections, because they changed the truth of God into a lie and did not like to retain God in their knowledge. They have been allowed to do what their vile affections call for, and this is only because they hate God and everything He stands for. A sodomite pretending to be a Christian is a joke, for the do not like to retain God in their knowledge. The only "god" they like to retain in their knowledge is a figment of their imagination.

2 Timothy 3:1-5
1   This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2   For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3   Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4   Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5   Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

2 Peter 2:4-10
4   For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
5   And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; 6   And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
7   And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
8   (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)
9   The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
10   But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.

Jude 1:7-8
7   Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
8   Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.

It is plain that the New Testament continues and incorporates the Old Testament's condemnation of the sodomite's sin. Not only that, but even a few people have been saved from the sin of sodomy: a sin against self, God, and nature.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11
9   Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
10   Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
11   And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

These people repented of all their sins. They did not try to cover them up, they confessed and forsook them and they were washed, sanctified, and justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God! Sodomite, God can do the same for you, if you will but give up your sins and turn to Him in full faith in His Son, Jesus Christ.

Romans 1:26-27 just refers to idolatrous religious practices that were common in the time of Paul.

Once again, all one must do is read the verses in context to see that they are once again just adding their theories to the word of God in order to try to cover their sin. I suggest you read the entire first chapter of Romans and see for yourself how plain it is that it is referring to sodomites. The idolatrous practices mentioned in Romans 1:23 are not sodomy, the idolatrous practices opened these people up to be given over to their vile affections, as it says, "Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet."

The vile affections and the leaving of the natural use of men and women is because they were given "up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves." The actual act of leaving the natural use of men or women was not in some idolatrous practice, though it certainly could occur in an idolatrous practice. It was merely these wicked people being given up to do the unclean thoughts of a sodomite that were already in them. This is what the sodomites talk about when they say, "I always knew I was homosexual." They had these vile affections because of their hatred of God and eventually God gave them up to do as they please.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 and 1 Timothy 1:9-10 do not refer to homosexuals. It refers to sexual perverts, not homosexuals.

Well, let us look at the verses in question and then address the argument given.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10
9   Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
10   Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

1 Timothy 1:9-11
9   Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
10   For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
11   According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.

Firstly, the Greek word arsenokoites, which is translated as "abusers of themselves with mankind" and "them that defile themselves with mankind" means "one that lies with man as with woman." It comes from two words, arsen, meaning "man" or "male," and koite, meaning "to go to bed with" or "to have relations with." The word translated "effeminate" is malakos and means "soft," "intentionally woman-like" (called metrosexual in modern times), and/or "a catamite" (a typical sodomite who sodomizes young boys). So they are right in one sense, it does refer to a sexual pervert, because a sodomite is a sexual pervert. Sexual relations were created for reproduction between a man and woman. That is their main purpose. A sodomite cannot reproduce by committing sodomy, because they have perverted relations into something it was never intended to be. They are the definition of sexual perverts.

Beyond that every time fornication is rebuked, you can include sodomites in that category as well, because fornication is sexual relations outside of the marriage bond. No sodomite has a marriage bond with someone of the same gender, regardless of whether any state or government calls their vile union "marriage," it is nothing of the sort (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:5; Mark 10:7; Ephesians 5:31).

Matthew 19:4-6
4   And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
5   And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?
6   Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

Marriage involves one never married (or widowed) man and one never married (or widowed) woman. It does not involve the sexual perverts man with man and woman with woman. It is plain when reading the Scriptures that the sin of the sodomites is a filthy sin only committed by those given up to the uncleanness of their hearts because they hate God and worship figments of their imagination.
