FOOL'S GOLD
By Ryan Hicks
Many people have went treasure hunting and found much gold, but the only thing was it was fools gold. It certainly appears to be gold and gave no indications that it was a fake, but it was. This is what is happening today in the false revivals.
One of the false revival's propagators, Jerrell H. Miller, editor of The Remnant said this on April 20, 1999:
PENSACOLA, FL -- It is apparent that God is coming stronger into the services at the Holy Place in Brownsville. The new schedule has allowed many men of God to come to the revival including Cleddie Keith. Keith has a heart for the country of England and is a revivalist. Many churches through the Miami and Ohio River Valley around the Cincinnati area have come into revival through the efforts of Keith and Heritage Fellowship. The announcement was made this week that Tommy Tenney will return to the Revival on May 20 and the following Sunday. God is still moving in California -- The Remnant has received a report of a women that received two gold fillings in the back of her mouth. The strange thing about these filling are that they were shaped in the form of a CROSS and a DOVE. We marvel at the work of God in California.
It is bad enough to make up stories about God "healing" people, and yet not really healing just giving them fillings, but the stuff about the gold fillings being in the shape of a cross and dove shows the lunacy of such revivals. You get the same type thing from the Roman Catholics who are always seeing a picture of their fake Jesus or goddess Mary in a potato, on the side of a building, in the dirt, on the pattern of a cat's fur colors, etc. THIS IS NOT REVIVAL! This type of false Christianity brings shame upon the name of Christ and no doubt causes the heathen to blaspheme His name.
A press release (http://www.tacf.org/confs/archives/intercession99/pressrelease.html) from the false revival in Toronto says:
On Wednesday evening March 3rd, 1999 miracles began happening in people's teeth. By Thursday evening, over 50 people were on the platform at Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship testifying to having received what appeared to be gold or bright silver fillings or crowns, which they believed had supernaturally appeared in their mouths after receiving prayer during the Intercession Conference. Many received one, two, three or more, and in some cases up to ten changed fillings! On the Saturday night of the conference, there were 198 on the platform saying that God had given them a dental miracle. By Sunday night, well over 300 people were testifying to this unusual sign. Testimonies, even now, are continuing to pour in.
This is the god of the Toronto revival and other false revival's like it. Instead of doing actual miracles, their god plays games by changing people's fillings. A miracle would be the teeth being restored to the way they should be NOT CHANGING FILLINGS OUT!
The Toronto and Brownsville leaders may be pulling the old scam of using lighting or a hand held light that makes silver fillings appear gold in color. This has been done many times before, and it would not be surprising if this is all that is happening here.
If you think this is bad, wait till you read about some of the "miracles" that take place around Ruth Hefferlin (Heflin). Here is a testimony given on Ruth's site (http://www.revivalglory.org/camptest.htm). A few of my comments are given in brackets:
Now they have women shedding gold flakes and sweating oil that pours into bowls and is pure olive oil. Will this insanity ever cease? I wonder who makes up the scripts for these actors to play their games and trick the easily duped. Discernment is apparently non-existent in these churches and everyone is given over to accepting whatever the "minister" says, while true Bible believers would "believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world" (1 John 4:1).Also we went to Ruth Heflin's Friday nite - she brought a lady named Silvania from Brazil - who God healed of 4 kinds of cancer. She was rotting from the inside out, was green, and people outcast her because of her smell from the diseases. A pastor and his wife got to her, and started ministering. They prayed for 5 days, and the Lord healed her totally!!!!! He ["the Lord"] began pouring out intense oil, and then gold dust all over her. When she prays, the oil (which is purest olive oil - they analyzed all of it [yeah right!]) - the oil pours out of her hands into bowls. Then the oil had gold dust mixed with it, and frankincense. This was the most awesome miracle to watch. At the start of worship, there was nothing on her - she just sat quiet during worship. Then the gold started appearing on her face, and continued all thru worship until she was covered, her neck, arms, clothes. The gold is so fine. They analyzed it and said that it is not gold like we have. [Telling the gullible what they want to hear.] Our machines shave gold and square off the edges. This gold was rounded. Mankind doesn't have machines to do that. [What planet do these people live on?] When the anointing came, it came on others as well. Then she prayed for everyone - we walked thru a line, and 4 anointed us with the actual oil from her hands. [In the real world this would be called "sweat"] The smell was incredible! The sweetest smelling savor I've ever smelled. God even took her stench and turned it into sweet!!! There was such a power there - Josh went down for anointing, and he could hardly walk thru the line. We are believing for his healing. The testimonies she gave were awesome. God is using her for healing, etc. This has been going on for 2 years now. They are careful not to exploit it. [Except for putting up a page on her web site about it and publishing and bragging about it abroad!] We had also heard of testimonies of others worldwide receiving the gold dust. Of course, we don't chase the gold dust - but it is a sign and a wonder for today, and we want the Lord."
Thankfully even the "lunatic Charismatic" magazine "Charisma" is now going away from their encouragement of this insanity. In the November 1999 publication of their magazine they are now reporting that the gold dust was tested and proved to be plastic toy gold glitter like young children use! Yet, how many people believed a lie and actually thought this was legitimate?!?!
Do not think that this devilish activity is that of Pentecostals, for it is not. It is the activity of devil possessed lunatics and has nothing to do with Bible believers who call themselves "Charismatic" or "Pentecostal." The Bible based Charismatics and Pentecostals and are simply believing in the gifts of the Holy Spirit and operating in them. They are not involved in the lies and insanity of the false revivals.
These type of "miracles" are the lot of the false revival bunch. Instead of preaching Jesus Christ and Him crucified they have to continually exalt their revivals. If they do not, the revivals may not bring in as much money and power for the leaders, thus they continually have to out-do other revivals in order to keep their power and money coming. This, my friends, has nothing to do with Christ, rather it is 100% backed by the devil and his wicked spirits. "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing: and I will receive you" (2 Corinthians 6:17)!
